Frequently Asked Questions

What subjects and levels do you teach?

I teach English, Geography, and Social Studies for Secondary 1 to 4 (Express and Normal Academic), helping students build strong foundations and master exam techniques. Beyond the secondary level, I also guide Junior College students in General Paper, with a focus on sharpening critical thinking, structured argumentation, and clear expression to excel in the A-levels.

For international students, I offer English and Geography classes for Grade 8 to Grade 11 (International O Levels), as well as AEIS English preparation for those seeking admission into Singapore’s local schools. These programmes are tailored to meet the unique requirements of international syllabi and entry exams, while ensuring students adapt confidently to their academic environments.

How big are the class sizes?

Each class is capped at 8 students, ensuring personalised feedback and focused attention for every learner.

What’s your teaching style like?

My teaching style is structured yet engaging. Lessons are practical and exam-focused, with immediate feedback that helps students improve on the spot. At the same time, I create a lively classroom environment that makes learning enjoyable—even for those who don’t usually like studying.

Will my child get individual attention in a group class?

Yes. Every student gets the chance to present their own work, receive direct feedback, and be guided step by step on how to improve.

Do you provide materials?

Yes. All materials are customised and built on proven exam strategies, including proprietary frameworks rarely available outside Curriculum Planning Division-level access.

Are there any discounts for multiple subjects or referrals?

Yes. Exclusive discounts are available for students enrolling in multiple subjects, as well as for referrals of friends or classmates. Final discount details are confirmed personally at registration to ensure a tailored offer.

Is there a trial class?

Yes. We offer a paid trial package of one month, allowing your child to experience the class environment and teaching approach over multiple sessions. This provides an opportunity to assess fit and progress before committing to regular enrolment, with no long-term obligation upfront.

What’s the fee structure like?

Fees are charged on a monthly basis and are collected before the start of each new month.
There are no lock-in periods or long-term contracts, offering you full flexibility.
A one-time administration fee of S$10 applies to cover materials and printing costs for the year.

However, this fee is waived for early-bird sign-ups made between November and January annually.

What if my child misses a class?

If your child misses a class, they will be scheduled to attend another group class within the same week or the following week. This ensures they stay on track and do not miss any content taught.

What if my child is shy or struggling?

Our classes provide a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment. Students are never forced to participate but are gently guided to build confidence and gradually engage at their own pace.
